I am just overjoyed!! Being able to be God's tool and witnessing her salvation.
I am also really encouraged by her child-like faith and her heart to want to know more and grow in faith.
Honestly, I was really really surprised when she responded during service because it was her first time attending a church service and she did not know much about Christianity/ God. When she came back to her seat after the alter call, I explained to her the fundamentals of what we believed in (4 spiritual laws).
I also explained to her what we did during service and the meaning/significant of it (praise and worship, communion, offering, sermon, alter call).
I met her for lunch again the next day to find out more from her. I wanted to know if she responded and said the sinner's prayer because 1) she really knew what it meant and is ready to invite Jesus into her life or 2) she did not know the significance and said it unknowingly.
I found out she did know what her decision meant and also found out the reason why she invited to Jesus on the spot, despite her lack of knowledge then. I also asked if she would like to meet once a bible so that I can study the bible together with her and she said yes. (It would be my first time mentoring someone too as I asked my mentor to train me too haha. And would definitely need a lot of prayer and God's guidance and wisdom as I mentor her). I hope that as we do this tgt, she can learn and grow, and I too will be able to learn and grow.
Praise God for her salvation!!
Luke 15:7 "I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety - nine righteous persons who do not need to repent."
Really so encouraged. And this is why we do outreach/evangelism! We go through so much rejection from people, just to find that one person who wants to know Jesus.
