There is no better thing

Knowing you Jesus

When I survey the wondrous cross

Today's sermon (Counting all as loss and christ is gain Phil 3:1-11) really spoke to me and i would just like to share my reflection and i hope it blesses you :-)

“Stop listening to yourself. Start talking to yourself.”

We live in a real world and there’s so many things the world is saying and instead of absorbing what the world tells you, which would influence what you tell yourself (such as getting good grades or earning a lot of money), talk to yourself and tell yourself what is really important and start preaching to yourself.

And before doing something or buying something, just think if that would make you want to be more like the world and less like Christ. For example, before buying a branded bag, think if that would cause you to crave for more branded bags and more of the things of the world. It is not wrong to buy branded bags, but would it cause you to prioritize the worldly things?

Before making a decision, we tend to look at both options and think which would give us more benefits. And if we think about it, choosing to live a godly life would it far more precious than living a meaningless life going after the wants which we can never satisfy because when we get something, we would want something more and even better.

Do take some time to listen to the songs above, "Knowing you Jesus" and "When i survey the wondrous cross", really meaningful.

That's about it, God bless you :-)
